New BBC project “21st Century Folk”

Martyn Joseph is one of 5 artists involved in a brand new flagship project from BBC Radio 2 called “21st Century Folk”, inspired by the original BBC Radio Ballads. The project features 5 real listeners from the North East of England, who have had 5 brand new songs written about their remarkable lives and experiences by 5 different artists. On Monday you will be able to hear their stories on 5 special features on the BBC Sounds app, and Martyn will be appearing on Jeremy Vine’s BBC Radio 2 show from around 1.30pm, talking about the brand new song he has written and playing it live on the show. There’ll be more coming soon, so make sure you keep an eye on Martyn's social media channels for all the up to date news and announcements! Listen live on BBC Radio 2 on Monday (and on Listen again for the following 28 days)
