Start the Week with Damian le Bas

Damian le Bas, who wrote and presented the documentary ‘Searching for the Travelling People’, was a guest on Start the Week this morning along with Arundhati Roy.

This coincides with the publication of his book “The Stopping Places”, which he is reading himself as the Book of the Week.  During the programme Damian mentioned words from his Roma language which were recognised by Arundhati Roy as the same in Hindi.

Damian was also the guest editor on BBC 5 Live and was interviewed by Patrick  Barkham for the Guardian.
